The Growing Trend: Butt Implants
As you would probably already be aware if you have read my ‘about‘ page, I am very much against the idea of butt implants. I just think that the world (or women should I say) are going a little crazy. But since the reason why I started this site was to deter women away from bum augmentation surgery and instead look for ways to get a bigger butt naturally, I think its only fair for one of my first posts to be about it. So here goes..
Getting Buttock Implants: Know Before You Go
Plastic surgery has become increasingly mainstream in the last few years, and now butt implants (or Brazilian butt implants) are rapidly growing in popularity. It’s coming to the point now that when you see a young woman parade herself on Instagram, you need to take a guess as to whether her bum is natural or not. I often beg the question, does she have bum implants?
Women who fail to enhance their buttock through dieting and exercise often turn to the idea of surgical implants. This option is alluring because of the near instant gratification combined with definitive results.
If you’re considering plastic surgery of any kind it is important you understand the risks alongside the benefits. Every time you opt for a surgical procedure you are exposing yourself to a number of risks that may outweigh the benefits of the surgery itself.
What to Expect
Before any surgery is involved you will first meet with a cosmetic surgeon. During this consultation you will get an overview of what the surgery involves as well as the risks and benefits of undergoing plastic surgery. While you’re there you will also be able to discuss your body type and the ideal size and shape of buttock implants for your body.
During your meeting you will learn more about what the implants will actually be made of. Most implants are made of silicone gel; this gives them a more natural feel. In general, the surgery will take a couple hours to complete and the implant will be inserted through a tiny incision around your tail bone. Since you will be put under general anesthesia you won’t feel anything during the surgery itself. Once the surgeon has finished inserting the implants he will stitch up the incision using both dissolving and non-dissolving stitches.
Even though you will have a scar it will be very small and barely noticeable. Relatively speaking, buttock implants are cheaper than most cosmetic surgeries and will only cost you around $2,500-$3,000. That said, your recovery time will be rather lengthy, topping out at around five weeks. Until you’ve fully recovered you should refrain from certain activities such as regular exercise.
Are Implants Worth the Risk?
Before undergoing any kind of cosmetic surgery you need to decide if it is worth the risk. Regardless of your current health and the skill of the surgeon there are always risks when you undergo surgery. Any operation that requires you to go under general anesthesia will carry a heavy amount of risks. Also keep in mind scandals such as the PIP breast implant scandal that occurred in Europe in 2011. Many people don’t think about it, but it is completely possible that your body will reject the implants all together, resulting in a number of severe side effects due to your immune system fighting the implants.
There are some people who will take any risk to achieve the perfect body, and for them cosmetic surgery is one of the first places they look. Even if they are willing to undergo the risks of surgery there is still the matter of cost that burdens many people. Buttock implants are relatively inexpensive compared to other procedures; however the hospitalization and recovery time can be prohibitive depending on your profession and income level. Regardless, many women focus on the instant gratification of buttock implants and opt for quick results rather than months of dieting and exercise.
Diet and exercise can go a long way toward developing the perfect buttock, but those traditional techniques fail to appeal to many more impatient women. Many surgeons recommend that you explore all other options before undergoing elective surgery, so take some time to meet with personal trainers before signing up for a consultation; you never know the results you might see without having to undergo surgical procedures.
For me, I would rather any day to try the countless natural ways to get a bigger butt. I’ve recently used the best butt cream and I have see massive results in my derriere. Check out my review here: My Results Using A Butt Enhancement Cream
